CELOP Mission Statement
The mission of the Boston University Center for English Language and Orientation Programs (CELOP) is to help international students and professionals succeed in their academic and work lives by offering programs that enhance their English language and cultural competence. As a division of Boston University Global Programs, CELOP upholds the University’s long-standing commitment to international education and to the promotion of global understanding and goodwill.

As a student at CELOP, you have access to all the campus resources Boston University offers. You will have access to the Fitness & Recreation Center, Agganis Arena, academic and health services, and the Student Union, as well as a wide variety of dining options. Fitness and Recreation Center (FitRec)
The Fitness and Recreation Center, also known as the FitRec, is located across the street from CELOP at 915 Commonwealth Avenue.

Welcome to Sports Central.
When it comes to variety, we win. You’ll find sports here for every taste, skill level, and schedule. In fact, BU has student teams in more than 30 club sports, from fencing to flag football, table tennis to triathlons. Some play informally, while others compete in intercollegiate tournaments across the country.
Maybe you’d prefer to join one of our popular intramural leagues, open year-round to BU students, faculty, and staff, plus alumni in the summer months. And, of course, we offer classes in dozens of sports, where you can improve your game or technique for credit or for fun. One way or another, go for it!

Student Health Services
Student Health Services is also located across the street from CELOP at 881 Commonwealth Avenue. This on-campus clinic provides free services for all CELOP students with your BU Terrier Card. Here you can:
- Make appointments to see doctors
- Get the flu shot, and other vaccinations
- Find references for other doctors
- Get 24-hour emergency help and information
